| This saturday
we won the first SLC Endurance 3h of 2005.
The Swedish Endurance Racing Series, SLC, is this year for the first time
classified as an official National Championship which makes our victory
historical. |
| The weekend
started already on the thursday with free practice. We found a decent setup
and I had the fastest laptime of the day of all participating cars. |

| Friday practice
went to driver practice. Håkan Hall and Mårten Samuelsson ran
a lot and Mårten once again shoed we were among the fastest cars. |
| Qualifying
on saturday was wet and we ran on rain tyres. I qualified third which the
entire team was happy with since it was our first ever wet run with the
car. We could have adjusted the car a bit, but gambled a bit thinking the
track would dry and we woulf be able to put on slicks. We tried it but
it was too damp and the slicks never got any temperature. |
| At 12 o´clock
the track was dry and we could start the race on slicks. Mårten took
the first stint and kept contact with the leading pack. Håkan took
the second stint and drove solidly followed by myself doing a short stint
before fuelling. We made two more quick driver changes (four is mandatory)
and it all seemed pretty good for the final hour. |
| Fighting the
very fast 911 GT3RS of Löhr/Morin Racing was now like a true sprint
race and I really had to push hard to kepp up. Unfortunately for them they
broke a driveshaft so the final 25 minutes was then merely about controlling
the race. The distance to secondplaced Hubert Bergh Motorsport increased
from 40 seconds to a minute before I took the ceckered flag. |

| We couldn´t
wish for a better start of the season, coming as reigning champions of
the GT-class to win the first race of this season. It gives us the best
possibilities to defend the 2004 title. |
| Next race
takes place att Kinnekulle Ring in two weeks. Until then - have a good
time! |
