| This saturday
at Scandinavian Raceway we were highly focused on closing the small
gap to Hubert Berg Motorsport in the point standings. This we managed to
do by securing our third straight podium finish and now only one sinlge
point separates us. With 50% extra points to score in the final race at
Mantorp it is now the team that crosses the finish line first that wins
the title. |
 |
| Now we´re
giving it our absolute all for ourselves, our fans and sponsors. |
 |
| This is
the view we want to show our competitors. |
| At friday
practice we were slower than the competition which forced us to really
get every little ounce extra out of the tyres although we already felt
we had a good setup on the car. We got it better for every adjustment testing
one race tyres and finally we had to call it a day, hoping we were in shape
for some final adjusments for the qualifying session. |

polishing the car prior to qualifying. |
| In qualifying
I once again put our GT3 Cup on third place on the grid behind Löhr/Morin
Racing and BRS Motorsport, but also, which was highly motivating, we were
once again the fastest GT3 Cup car on the grid. |

on the rear brakes and suspension. |
| As usual Mårten
did our first stint which he did very well. He followed BRS and Löhr
in the lead and created a gap, which he increased lap by lap. I took the
next stint and continued to increase the gap to Hubert Bergh Motorsport. |
| BRS which
was doing 260 km/h on the main straight flew past us doing 230 km/h after
a pitstop, but since they were not in for the title fight it didn´t
matter too much, although keeping the approximate pace over the whole lap
was good for a possible top finish. |
| After the
next pit stop I passed the BMW and also saw we pulled away further from
the Porsche GT3 Cup of Hubert Bergh Motorsport although they made some
attempts to push during a 90+ minutes stint. |

| The setup
of the car was really good, the car running very consistently, although
at the end of my stint the front tyres began to suffer some. Fuelling and
changing drivers the team also measured the tyre pressure in the front,
it was very high. Mårten did a quick stint and I got inte the car
again. |

of spectators constantly increase for every race in SLC Endurance 3h. Photo

| The front
tyres were now significantly worse, maybe because we ran then for almost
two hours with too high pressure, or due to the fact that we changed them
when they were already run for such a long time with wrong pressure. It
was harder and harder to keep the laptmes, but worse was that the lambda-probe
was beginning to loosen which made the car sound more and more and the
engine felt get weaker as well as the air/fuel mixture got more and more
off. Short-shifting to keep the nosie down (we did not want a black flag
for sounding too much) and fighting bad front tyres I struggled to keep
our second place until the final driver change. |
| Mårten
took the last stint and managed to keep us on second place until the finish.
A great drive and by beating Hubert Bergh Motorsport we closed the gap
to a single point ahead of the final race of the season. |
 |
| Sweaty
but fun "office"! |
| Now were gonna
put the car back in perfect shape and then really try to defend our 2004
title. It will be very exciting at Mantorp Park saturday October 15th,
don´t miss it! |
