| This saturday
we scored our third victory in the SLC Endurance 3h Cup. We achieved
this after an exiting race where amongst others Swedish Touring Car Championship
driver Johan Sturesson in Team Leaders Porsche and Hubert Bergh Motorsport
did what they could to try to stop us on Ring Knutstorp. |
|
| We ran free
practice on old tyres to get into the track. Then it was dry, by when we
were starting to test another kind of tyres, it started to rain. So, that
didn´t give us much to go on regarding those tyres, but it resulted
in some training on wet conditions, which is very useful. The forenoon
testing, when the track was still dry, was enough though for us to know
what to change on the setup of the car. |
 |
| The data
aquisition system lis a very useful tool. |
|
| The track
was dry in qualifying, but there was so much traffic it was almost impossible
to get a free lap. I had to try in traffic, passing a lot of slower cars
and the time was enough for third spot on the grid. That´s ok but
I was very frustrated not to get a clean lap. Anyway, I was just supposed
to go out and make a decent lap, and then hand the car over to Ulf, who
replaced Håkan Hall for this race, for the rest of the session. |

| BRS Motorsport
with their BMW M3 E46 started the race hard, with team Leaders and us right
behind. At half the race light rain fell, and Ulf started to catch up second
by second on the opposition. At this stage of the race BRS pitted with
a broken driveshaft. Now Morin was in the lead due to a well executed pit
stop strategy. |
| The rain went
away and Mårten now did a solid stint for us. It was a long one,
without any safety car driving for a long tome and finally we had to pit
when we were starting to run out of fuel. Mårten had set a new lap
record for SLC Endurance and had raced to the lead. But as if the fight
on the track wasn´t exciting enough the rain started to fall as I
went out to drive the final stint. |

| Close racing
at Knutstorp! A lot of traffic, and tough conditions, made it a drivers
race. I had a good race through it all. Foto J. Christensen |
|
| It was pretty
ok to use the slicks for some time, and I pulled away a lot from our competitors.
Then suddenly heavy showers started to fall on the main straight. I backed
off and also the team warned me, but still I aquaplaned a bit. This was
the sign we had to switch to rain tyres. |
| The team did
a quick tyre change and then I had a fairly simple drive to the checkered
flag. 15 new points added to the team! |

well! |

Endurance 3h returns to Anderstorp. |
| I´d
like to thank Thomas and Tomas for really good work on the car this weekend
and Patricia for putting in a good effort in the pits. Also, my thanks
go to SLC and the crew around the track, and last but not least my sponsors! |
See ya!
